In the glittering world of Bollywood, fame often comes with a price, and for superstar Shah Rukh Khan, that price recently included a series of alarming death threats. The Maharashtra state government swiftly responded to these threats by issuing orders to elevate Khan’s security level to Y+ category, indicating the seriousness of the situation.

Y+ security, reserved for individuals facing significant threat perception, comes with a robust security apparatus. In Khan’s case, it involves the deployment of six personal security officers (PSOs) working in three shifts around the clock. Additionally, there will be five armed guards stationed at his residence, ensuring his safety and peace of mind.

The decision to upgrade Khan’s security came in the wake of his recent blockbuster, ‘Jawan,’ a high-octane thriller that has taken the box office by storm. Directed by Atlee, the film achieved the remarkable feat of crossing the Rs 1100 crore mark globally, making history as the first Hindi film to do so.

‘Jawan’ tells a powerful story of societal redemption, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. Alongside Khan, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra.

Despite the overwhelming success of ‘Jawan,’ Khan’s safety remained a top priority, prompting the state government’s decisive action. The upgraded security measures will be privately funded, with Khan himself covering the associated costs, underscoring his commitment to ensuring his own and his loved ones’ safety.

As fans continue to celebrate ‘Jawan’s’ cinematic triumph, Shah Rukh Khan’s unwavering dedication to his craft and his well-being serves as a testament to his resilience in the face of challenges, both on and off-screen.
