Heavy rain lashed Noida and several parts of Delhi-NCR on Friday morning. The downpour caused waterlogging and slowed traffic across major routes. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Noida, Ghaziabad, and several parts of Delhi, warning residents to stay cautious.
IMD Forecast for Today
The IMD predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning today in:
- Delhi: Tughlakabad, IGNOU, Deramandi
- NCR: Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida
- Haryana: Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat
The agency warned that heavy rain may cause local flooding, traffic jams, and power disruptions in urban areas.
