NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is planning to set up feed points for stray dogs across the city. This comes after the Supreme Court gave new directions on how to manage stray dogs.

Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma asked officials to find safe locations for feeding spots. She also told them to plan large-scale sterilisation of stray dogs. Aggressive or rabies-infected dogs will be kept in shelters.

Sharma said the MCD will work with animal lovers and NGOs to help take care of the dogs. The goal is to keep people safe while treating the animals humanely.

The MCD aims to start these measures soon to make stray dog management organised and safe for everyone.
