Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a video capturing key moments of the historic opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday, stating that the event “will be etched in our memories for years to come.”

The three-minute video showcases PM Modi entering the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, holding a silver umbrella on a folded red dupatta. It also features him participating in the consecration ceremony at the newly constructed temple and seeking blessings from the new Ram Lalla idol.

PM Modi captioned the video on X, saying, “What we saw in Ayodhya yesterday, 22nd January, will be etched in our memories for years to come.”

The footage captures Sadhvi Ritambhara, a prominent leader of the Ram temple movement, shedding tears during the ‘pran pratishtha’ rituals.

Addressing over 7,000 dignitaries at the Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony, PM Modi expressed, “Our Ram has arrived after centuries of anticipation.” He highlighted that January 22, 2024, signifies the beginning of a new era, emphasizing that “Our Ram Lalla will no longer reside in a tent. Our Ram Lalla will now reside in this divine temple.”

PM Modi, seen showering flower petals on the workers involved in the construction of the Ayodhya temple, emphasized that the event symbolizes the consecration of “unwavering faith in Indian culture” in the form of Lord Ram.
